The Fine Arts Committee in conjunction with Clubs Committee helps to organize and coordinate the various extra-curricular activities at Trivium. The Fine Arts programs are rooted in the visual arts, dance, drama, and music.Clubs programs are varied to not only develop the mental but also physical growth of the individual.
We are offering both before- and after-school instruction and club activities that will foster self-confidence, social interaction, creative expression, and imagination. Please visit our Clubs Page to view all available programs.
The Fine Arts Committee oversees the development of co-curricular and extra-curricular programs in the visual arts (such as drawing, painting, pottery, and sculpture), dance, drama/theater, and music (both instrumental and vocal). We are offering both before-school and after-school instruction and club activities that will foster self-confidence, social interaction, creative expression, and imagination. Each area under Fine Arts anticipates some kind of culminating showcase or performance that allows student participants to demonstrate their achievements over the course of the semester and/or year.
If you are interested in volunteering, we anticipate needing help throughout the year either with running club meetings (therefore some experience in one of the fine arts is preferred to do so) or helping out with aspects of drama/theater that might include securing costumes, selling tickets, doing make-up, etc.

The Social Life Committee plans monthly, grade-specific extracurricular events for the Trivium student body.We provide an opportunity for our children to develop lasting personal relationships with their peers that transcend the classmate phase. In a traditional neighborhood school, this committee isn’t a necessity, but Trivium families commute from all over the West Valley and beyond. We hope to bridge the geographical gap to foster camaraderie that will last for our children’s entire school experience. In addition, we provide a safe, fun, and healthy environment that reinforces the values of the Trivium education. Our committee gives the parents an opportunity to get to know one another – strengthening the community connections our children make. For all these reasons and more, Social Life Committee will have a lasting, positive impact on our children and their families.
We are excited to announce available parent volunteer opportunities for all grade levels, K-8.Contact your classroom liaison below to find out how you can be an integral part of this essential committee.

The Special Events Committee is involved in supporting various school activities and performances. It is our goal to facilitate a welcome environment for special events such as open houses, Coffee Talks with the Headmaster, concerts, and other school meetings. This committee welcomes those who are willing to help with room set-up, decorations, refreshments, and clean-up following certain school events.
The Special Events Committee also works closely with other committees, such as Social Life and Fundraising, to assist with functions and events that they have planned. We would also like to work together with these other committees to initiate a Fall Festival to foster our school community as well as raise funds and provide a social engagement for the students.
There will be opportunities to volunteer for these one-time special events throughout the year. Our team will send out sign-up instructions when the time arises. If you have any questions, please contact us!

BOOK EXCHANGE PROGRAM
When the year draws to a close, students will be encouraged to spend their summer reading. To this end, the school will sponsor the “Read It Forward” Book Exchange at the end of each school year. This is an excellent way for students to acquire new reading material, while also recycling gently used books that your student no longer reads or has out grown. We are sure that with everyone’s participation, our first annual "Read It Forward" Book Exchange will be a success! More information to follow when closer to the event week.
SCHOOL WIDE BOOKFAIRS
Book Fairs are the best way to support your school’s reading efforts. They provide easy access to a wide assortment of books, they give kids a choice in what inspires them to read more, and they involve family, which demonstrates to kids that reading is important. Stay tuned for more details on our upcoming school wide Book Fair!

Traffic Committee strives to make Trivium’s student pick-up process efficient and safe for our children. We are involved in helping to collect, create and distribute the pick-up signs each school year.In addition, throughout the school year, traffic volunteers assist faculty at pick-up time.Duties include gathering the student(s) on the pick-up sign and delivering the child(ren) safely to the awaiting authorized driver. This process usually involves only 30 minutes of your time.
You may volunteer on a periodic or consistent basis.A calendar of available times and dates will be created at www.SignUpGenius.com each quarter to make volunteering for this activity concise and convenient.

Traffic Duty Guidelines
EARLY RELEASE DAYS: pickup time starts 12:05 pm with Archway students
WEDNESDAYS: pickup time starts 1:35 pm for Archway students
REGULAR SCHOOL DAYS: pickup time starts 3:05 pm with Archway students
Please try to come about 5 minutes prior to your shift.
Estimated shift duration: 30 minutes.
1. SIGN-IN at Front Desk as Archway Volunteer.
2. Grab a yellow car helper ID tag & same number sign in the Multi-Purpose Room.
The ID tag has a number on it that should match your number sign.
3. Put the ID tag on. The number sign is what you give the authorized driver in the car to put on the dashboard when you take his or her student's pick-up sign.
4. You may verify the student's pick-up sign. The authorized driver should be able to produce a photo ID to match the listed name on the back of the pick-up sign.
5. Once you gather the student(s) on your pick-up sign(s), take the student(s) to that car and give the student pick-up sign back to the driver. Take back your yellow number sign to restart the process with your next awaiting car.
6. The yellow card on the dashboard signals another car helper that this car is already being helped - freeing you to move to the next car in line.
7. Preparatory students do not have a pick-up sign and are free to meet their authorized driver outside the gate or as otherwise directed by their pick-up person.
8. When your shift has ended, please return the yellow ID tag and number sign back into the basket in the Multi-Purpose Room.
9. YOUR CHILDREN -- you may inform your students to go to MPR and sit along the back wall away from the other children waiting to be picked-up. This will help you to keep track of your children as well as giving them a place where they know to wait for you.

Sign-in at front desk under volunteers (Archway Trivium or Trivium Prep).

Do NOT let any of the children go through any gate.

While the caterers are delivering the lunches, watch the gate to make sure no children go outside.
Assist the teachers in calling in the children at the end of recess.

Trivium believes that the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of athletic activities is a vital part of the educational experience. Such participation is a privilege that carries with it responsibility to the school, to the activity, to other students, to the community, and to the athletes themselves. Athletics provides a balance of experiences that contribute to the development of learning and emotional skills that enable the student to achieve maximum benefit from his or her education. Participation in an athletic activity is not a required component of the curriculum, but we strongly encourage all children to participate in a team sport.
